Covid - 19 safe swimming lessons
We have updated our protocols and operating procedures at all pools to ensure safety and minimise COVID-19 transmission.
Safety is our number one concern at Seahorse Swim School. We feel confident that our private pools with semi-private lessons are the perfect way to minimise virus transmission and allow a safe return to swimming lessons.
We are only returning to the pools because of scientific facts including:
-
Pool water of the correct chlorinated level disables COVID-19 halting any transmission (https://atacp.csp.org.uk/news/2020-03-13-novel-coronavirus-covid-19-latest-information-pwtag-pool-water-treatment-advisory).
-
COVID-19 droplets can be removed using chlorine based cleaning products and soapy water which have been integrated into our new cleaning protocols
-
Using a UVL Fogger between sessions will deep clean the premises to reduce any risk of transmission
We have introduced the following measures to ensure COVID-19 safe lessons for our swimmers and parents:
-
We have reduced class sizes to 2 for our Summer 2020 Intensive courses to be able to maintain social distancing regulations both in the pool and in the poolside areas (we may be able to increase this for September)
-
Staff and family screening before each session
-
Dedicated staff at each session to ensure safe flow of people through the building and continuous cleaning of multi contact points and toilets
-
The option for sibling/school/social bubble classes
-
Sanitising stations at entry and exit points
-
Swimmers arriving "swim ready” with no. use of changing rooms
-
Use of a UVL fogger
-
Teacher training to ensure lessons are managed to maintain social distancing whilst still being fun and progressive
We are looking forward to welcoming back as many of you as possible over the Summer Intensive Courses and into the Autumn Term. If you have any questions about our protocols please get in touch.
