Rookie Lifeguards

Ely Rookies is more than just a swimming session – it’s a community-driven initiative dedicated to equipping children with essential life-saving skills.

Ely Rookies helps build confidence, teamwork, and real-world rescue knowledge. From survival swimming to first aid and CPR, our sessions are designed to empower children with the skills they need to make a difference – whether it’s keeping themselves safe or helping others in an emergency.

We’re proud to be a community club, bringing local families together with a shared goal: to raise strong, capable, and water-safe young people.

This programme is designed to ensure every child learns how to stay safe in and around the water—building confidence, responsibility, and teamwork along the way. Through engaging activities and structured training, we aim to inspire the next generation of safe, strong, and skilled young swimmers.
